We provide accurate, survey-led LVIA photography to support planning applications, Environmental Impact Assessments and landscape studies. Our approach combines technical precision with a clear understanding of planning policy, ensuring every viewpoint forms a robust and defensible visual baseline.
All baseline photography is captured using calibrated full-frame equipment and fixed focal lengths in accordance with current best practice guidance, including methodologies set out by the Landscape Institute and the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment. Viewpoints are agreed in advance, accurately recorded on site, GPS logged and issued with full technical metadata to ensure suitability for verified views, wirelines and photomontages.
We incorporate 3D alignment and point cloud scanning to precisely position the camera within a digital model, aligning photography with topographical survey data and existing site conditions. This integrated workflow reduces positional error and ensures visualisations sit correctly and credibly within the landscape.
ZTV analysis (Zone of Theoretical Visibility) is used to inform and validate viewpoint selection, testing visibility across the study area and supporting representative and worst-case assessment scenarios. The result is a technically robust, transparent and planning-ready visual record.
